So come into my world : I am the proud mother of six children, four handsome sons ages 19, 17, 7 and a bouncing Year old baby boy and two beautiful daughters ages 11 and 8 years old.

My journal experience started in late October 2003 and has grown past five years now. I make it a point of updating my journal every day for personal record. It is good to look backwards sometimes to see how fast I am moving forwards because at times it often feels like I am standing still.

Through my journalling I have found an inner peace and self recognition which I think somehow gets lost amongst all the normal day to day things that life throws in my direction. I use my journal as a means to touch base with myself which keeps me grounded and makes me feel ready to take another step forwards each day.

I decided to make my journal "Friends Only" for most of my posts because since starting this journey in October 2003 I have grown to rely on this outlet for my personal feelings more and more, and inevitably my writing has become more personally revealing as time has gone by.

Being a mother to my six children and educating them at home is a huge part of my life but there are many other things that I do as well, I am a Freecycle Mod for five local groups within the Tyne & Wear region of England, I also help moderate an online loom knitters group and am currently working hard putting together a portfolio as I am planning to do a second BA degree, this time in Fashion Design, Art and Textiles in the coming academic season later in the year 2008/9.

Having only recently made the decision to make a drastic change into the Arts and Crafts world of woollen textiles, and now actually implementing that decision, life feels much brighter, exciting and for the first time in my life like one huge amazing adventure is ahead of me which I am immensely enjoying, grasping with both hands and making the most of every moment that I can devote to my crafts.

I am a keen gardener and love growing my own vegetables, salad, fruit and herbs. Developing our garden was a huge project which took over three years to get moving and now in 2008 we are entering into our third year of growing our own foods. One of the things I am planning for this year is a space for growing plants to make my own dyes. Not sure how this will develop over the coming seasons as last year there was only about two weeks of a dry spell in total and the rest of the summer months were very wet indeed making it impossible to grow certain things. So this year I am hoping for an improvement on that and to be able to get my from ground to dye pot project off to a good start.

There are two parts to my journal, personal posts and public posts which I write about my love of crafts, mainly knitting and my love of textiles and yarn.
